Kudzu Seeds Trading is a Philippine agricultural supply company headquartered in Davao City, supplying tropical cover crop seeds, soil conditioners and rhinoceros beetle pheromone traps to plantations, cooperatives, government programmes and distributors. We are the independent sister company of Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. The two companies are sister companies, not a parent and subsidiary, and not a distributor relationship.

No, and this is the question we are asked most. We supply Pueraria javanica, known as tropical kudzu, a cultivated leguminous cover crop grown across Southeast Asian plantations. It is a different species from Pueraria montana var. lobata, the aggressive vine restricted in parts of North America. P. javanica is managed as a plantation ground cover and does not climb trees aggressively.

Both. We supply plantation-scale orders, cooperative and LGU programmes, and smaller quantities for individual farms and trials. Tell us your area and crop and we will suggest a sensible quantity rather than overselling you.

Five tropical leguminous species: Pueraria javanica (PJ), Calopogonium mucunoides (CM), Centrosema pubescens (CP), Calopogonium caeruleum (CC) and Mucuna bracteata (MB).

It depends on canopy stage and site. CM establishes fastest and suits young, open plantings. PJ is the standard broadcast cover for oil palm, rubber and coconut. CP and CC hold up best under closed canopy shade. MB gives the heaviest biomass and the strongest weed suppression, and is the usual choice against cogon grass.

Rates vary by species, whether you are sowing a monoculture or a mixture, and site conditions. Our seeding rate guide for the Philippines sets out the rates per species, and the calculators convert them to quantities for your actual area.

One exception worth knowing: Mucuna bracteata is not broadcast in commercial practice. It is raised in a nursery and transplanted at roughly 320 seedlings per hectare.

Yes. Every lot is germination-tested before dispatch, and a certificate of analysis is available on request with your order.

Managed properly, no. Legume cover crops fix nitrogen, suppress weeds and reduce erosion between the rows. The risk comes from letting vigorous species climb into young palms or trees, which is a maintenance question rather than a species question. SoilBoost EA is a humic acid soil conditioner produced from 100 percent Leonardite ore. It contains 96.55% humic acid, approximately 0.45% sulphur, and has a pH of 3.84.

How Leonardite humic acid works.

Broadcast 50 to 100 kg per hectare and incorporate before planting, or apply 10 to 15 kg per hectare dissolved in water as a fertigation or soil drench. For tree crops, 20 to 50 g per planting hole, or 100 to 200 g per mature tree as an annual top-up. Reapply every three to six months through the growing season.

No. It is a soil conditioner. It does not supply NPK. It improves soil structure, cation exchange capacity and nutrient retention so that the fertilizer you already apply is held in the root zone instead of leaching away. It is used alongside a fertilizer programme, not instead of one.

Soil enhancer versus fertilizer.

No. SoilBoost EA is not a fungicide, pesticide or plant protection product, and it is not a treatment for Fusarium TR4, Panama disease, Phytophthora or any other specific plant disease. It supports soil health, which is one factor among many in crop resilience. Disease management must follow your agronomist and the relevant regulations.

Yes. SoilBoost EA was evaluated in an independent bioefficacy trial for Philippine product registration under FPA Experimental Use Permit No. 3227, registered to Kudzu Seeds Trading. It was a randomised complete block design with six treatments and three replications, run by an FPA-accredited researcher at the PCA-Davao Research Center on tissue-cultured Lacatan banana seedlings.

Leonardite is far more concentrated in humic and fulvic acids than compost, peat or generic humate products, so a modest application rate delivers a large and consistent dose. Full comparison.

RB Lure is an aggregation pheromone sachet (ethyl 4-methyloctanoate) used with a trap to monitor and mass-trap adult rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros) in oil palm and coconut. It is a monitoring and population-reduction tool inside an integrated pest management programme, not a standalone cure for beetle damage.

Seed exports are accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Philippine Bureau of Plant Industry, the national plant protection organisation, under the IPPC framework. The certificate follows ISPM 12, and BPI operates its certification system under ISPM 7. It attests to inspection at origin and does not by itself authorise import; import permits and admissibility remain the responsibility of the buyer. Certificates of analysis, technical data sheets and safety data sheets where applicable are issued against your order so the paperwork matches the actual lot.
