SoilBoost EA is a leonardite-derived humic acid soil conditioner. In a Philippine registration field trial (FPA Experimental Use Permit No. 3227) on banana, run by an FPA-accredited researcher, it produced taller plants with more leaves and improved the soil's water-holding capacity to 88.7 percent versus 80.0 percent in the untreated control, with all measured differences statistically significant at p less than 0.01. Two peer-reviewed meta-analyses covering hundreds of studies report humic acid amendment lifts crop yield by about 12 percent and nitrogen use efficiency by about 27 percent on average. What did the field trial find?

SoilBoost EA was evaluated in a bioefficacy trial commissioned by Kudzu Seeds Trading for Philippine product registration under the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA Experimental Use Permit No. 3227). The trial was a randomized complete block design (6 treatments, 3 replications) run by an FPA-accredited researcher at the PCA-Davao Research Center on tissue-cultured Lacatan banana seedlings, and was certified as following Good Agricultural Practices. It is a registration trial held by us rather than a published independent study, and we label it accordingly in our Evidence Hub.

Humic and fulvic molecules form stable, water-soluble complexes with iron, zinc, copper, and other micronutrients, keeping them available to roots rather than precipitating in the soil.

Cation exchange capacity

Humic acid raises the soil's CEC, so potassium, calcium, magnesium, and ammonium resist leaching during heavy tropical rainfall.
