Shipping policy

Kudzu Seeds Trading. Effective date: 11 October 2026.

We supply business buyers in bulk, on a written quotation. This website does not take orders or payment online, so it shows no shipping rates. Delivery is agreed for each order and confirmed on the quotation. We supply buyers across the Philippines and, on request, worldwide from Davao City.

Every order is shipped from Davao City, Philippines. We do not ship from Malaysia or from any other country. Buyers in Malaysia and Indonesia are served by our sister company, Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. (https://chemiseed.com), on its own terms.

This policy should be read with our Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with your quotation or a signed supply agreement, the quotation or agreement applies.

1. Delivery terms

All delivery terms follow Incoterms 2020. The quotation names the delivery term and the place or port it applies to.

Term When it applies What we do What you do When risk passes to you
Ex Works (EXW) Tigatto, Davao City Default, unless the quotation names FOB or CIF for an export order Pack the goods and make them available for collection at our premises in Tigatto, Davao City Arrange collection and, for export, export clearance, freight and insurance, or appoint a trucker or forwarder to do so When the goods are placed at your disposal for collection
Free On Board (FOB), named port of shipment in the Philippines Export, when named on the quotation Deliver the goods to the port, clear them for export and load them on board the vessel you nominate Book and pay for sea freight and insurance from the port of shipment, and handle import When the goods are on board the vessel
Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF), named port of destination Export, when named on the quotation Clear the goods for export, book and pay for sea freight to the named port of destination, and arrange minimum cargo insurance as required by Incoterms 2020 Handle import clearance, duties, destination charges not included in the freight contract, and onward delivery When the goods are on board the vessel at the port of shipment in the Philippines

Under CIF we pay the freight, but transit risk is yours from the moment the goods are on board. CIF insurance is minimum cover only, so you may wish to take out wider cover.

2. Delivery within the Philippines

Delivery to an address in the Philippines is by arrangement and at your cost. You may collect from our premises in Tigatto (EXW), send your own trucker or forwarder, or ask us to book a carrier for you. Where we book it, the quotation states the delivery address and the delivery cost, which you pay. Risk passes to you when the goods are handed to the carrier in Davao City, unless the quotation says otherwise. Please make sure the site can be reached by the vehicle and that labour or equipment is ready to unload.

3. Lead time and dispatch

  • Minimum order and lead time are confirmed on the quotation.
  • We dispatch, or release goods for collection, once payment has been received in full in cleared funds, unless a signed supply agreement says otherwise.
  • Lead times are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed. Seed supply is seasonal and depends on harvests; we will tell you promptly if a lead time changes.
  • Documents that need an inspection or appointment, such as a BPI phytosanitary certificate, can add time. We will tell you when we quote.

4. Collection under EXW

We will tell you in writing when the goods are ready for collection. Please collect within 14 days of that notice. After that we may charge for storage and handling, and the goods remain at your risk.

5. Partial shipments

We ship an order in parts only where the quotation allows it or you agree. Each part shipment is covered by the same quotation and terms.

6. Export documents

With every order we provide an invoice and a packing list. On request, and as agreed on the quotation, we also provide:

  • the germination and purity test results for the seed lot supplied;
  • a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), for seed and other plant products;
  • a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), where one exists for the product;
  • for FOB and CIF shipments, a copy of the bill of lading once issued; for CIF, the insurance certificate.

Please send us the conditions of your import permit at enquiry stage, including any wording, additional declarations, treatments or other documents (such as a certificate of origin) that the destination requires. We confirm on the quotation which of them we can provide. Some must be arranged before dispatch and can affect price and lead time.

7. Import permits, duties and clearance

For export orders, you are responsible for confirming that the goods may lawfully be imported, registered and used in the destination country, and for obtaining any import permit, plant quarantine clearance or product registration required there. Import duties, taxes, customs charges, inspection fees and storage or demurrage at destination are paid by you unless the quotation says otherwise.

We are not liable for goods detained, refused entry, treated, destroyed or delayed by an authority in the destination country, or for any cost arising from that, where we have supplied the goods and documents agreed on the quotation.

8. Packing and labelling

Goods are packed as stated on the quotation. Each bag is marked with the product name and lot (batch) number, so it can be matched to the test results for that lot. Pallets, shrink-wrapping or special marks required by your import permit or warehouse can be arranged on request and are shown on the quotation.

9. Damage, loss or shortage in transit

Please inspect the goods when you receive or collect them, and note any visible damage or shortage on the carrier's delivery document.

  • If the loss or damage happened before risk passed to you, notify us within 7 days of delivery or collection, with photographs, the lot number and the packing list. We will investigate and put it right as set out in our Refund and Returns Policy.
  • If it happened after risk passed to you under the delivery term, your claim lies with the carrier or your insurer. We will provide the documents you need to support it.
