Seeding rates. Published rates for the broadcast-sown species: Pueraria javanica about 4 kg/ha sown alone and Centrosema pubescens 3 to 5 kg/ha broadcast (Tropical Forages); Calopogonium caeruleum 1 to 1.5 kg/ha sown with 5 to 7.5 kg/ha PJ (Tropical Forages); MPOB TT No. 501 used a mixture of PJ 4 + CP 3 + CC 1 kg/ha (8 kg/ha in total) with 5 g Rhizobium per kg of seed. For Calopogonium mucunoides, and for your own mix, the rate is set on the quotation for your site.

Mucuna bracteata is transplanted, never broadcast. MPOB TT No. 501 (Hasnol Othman, Farawahida Mohamad Darus and Zulkifli Hashim, 2012) used about 320 seedlings per hectare, two per palm point, raised from about 500 seeds (75 g); Samedani et al. (2015) used 680 seedlings per hectare. Please confirm the planting method before you order.

Nitrogen. For Mucuna bracteata, one 15N isotope-dilution study under three-year-old oil palm on Jawa Series soil in Malaysia measured roughly 67 to 84 percent of its nitrogen derived from the atmosphere (Ndfa) (Cheah et al. 2010). This is site-dependent. Legume cover contributes nitrogen; adjust your fertiliser programme only after soil and leaf analysis shows what the cover supplies on your block.

SoilBoost EA. A humic soil conditioner, leonardite-derived, with about 0.45 percent sulphur and pH 3.84, manufactured exclusively for Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. and Kudzu Seeds Trading. It is a soil conditioner, not a fertiliser and not a substitute for one, and it is not a fungicide or pesticide. SoilBoost EA does not hold organic certification.

Industries we serve

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimum order and lead time are confirmed on the quotation. Tell us the species, quantity and delivery point you need and we will confirm current availability and price.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, on request. We supply buyers across the Philippines and, on request, worldwide from Davao City. Export shipments carry a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI). Import permits, treatment requirements and admissibility vary by destination, so send us your country and we will confirm what documentation applies before shipping.
Do you offer planting guidance with seed purchases?
Yes. We supply species-specific planting notes with orders, covering recommended seeding rates, site preparation and establishment. Note that Mucuna bracteata is transplanted as nursery-raised seedlings rather than broadcast. For larger plantation projects, on-site technical support can be discussed subject to location and availability.
Are your seeds tested for germination and purity?
Seed lots are tested for germination and purity, and the test results for the lot supplied are available on request. We do not guarantee a germination percentage or a field establishment outcome, because establishment depends on site preparation, weather, weed pressure and management after sowing.
Who manufactures SoilBoost EA?
SoilBoost EA is manufactured exclusively for Chemiseed Sdn. Bhd. and Kudzu Seeds Trading, which are sister companies, and is supplied in the Philippines by Kudzu Seeds Trading. It is a soil conditioner, not a fertiliser and not a substitute for one, and it is not a fungicide or pesticide. SoilBoost EA does not hold organic certification.
